Shining A New Light on Theatre
Paraphrase Productions is thankful for support from the following community partners:
Paper Wing Theatre Company
Paper Wing Theater was the venue of Paraphrase's first production! The Paper Wing Theatre Company was generous enough to not only allow us to use their space for Little Shop of Horrors but also to help us create a fantastic premiere performance. Our partnership continued with the 2017 Emerging Artists Program play The Glass Menagerie, the 2019 EAP play God of Carnage and summer 2019's main stage musical Next to Normal.
Special Kids Connect
Special Kids Connect supports children with developmental disabilities and their families by connecting resources, empowering parents, and offering recreational programs for children that promote social skill development and inclusion in community settings. Paraphrase Productions has had the honor of partnering with Special Kids Connect for two seasons to put on the REACH, Move & Sing class. Actors with many different abilities joined together to experience the fun, friendship, and joy that comes from practicing theatre.
Yellow Brick Road Benefit Shop
The Yellow Brick Road Benefit Shop is a unique, upscale store that sells gently used items and returns the net proceeds to Monterey area charities and scholarships. Over its 30 years, Yellow Brick Road have donated nearly $6 million to Monterey County nonprofits. We are pleased to announce that Paraphrase Productions has recently been awarded a generous grant from the Yellow Brick Road to support our work. This gift is a big tribute to what Paraphrase has done so far and will help with future programs and productions!
